My friend in FL (Odie's slave) had to do the sad kind thing and have
vet send him to the Rainbow
Bridge a few days ago.....she is an entirely different type hoomin
than I am but even she could see
that since he had lost all bladder control and appetite gone his
quality of life was on the bad side
of the scale....she told me since I wasn't sure how it worked that her
vet, after she paid him for
each of Odie's visits/care there, faxed the bill copies to IAMS and
they then reimbursed her for
the expense.
Her method of commemorating Odie is that she is going soon to adopt at
the county Humane
Society where she lives. BTW all you NFL fans - or anyone else
interested - Broward County, FL
has one of the most modern, up-to-the-minute type facilities in the
country, thanks to the WIFE
of Miami Dolphins' former owner, W. Huigenza. This woman has
singlehandedly contributed to
reconstruction and innovative touches of the facility - it actually
has "visiting nook rooms" where
prospective adopting hoomins can sit and get acquainted with a cat
they are considering - some
other friends of mine did this when they got their cats there.
How about a round of condolence purrs for Odie and another round of
catloving purrs for Mrs.
"Marty" Huizenga, humane society patron.

Oh, I am so sorry to hear this. Purrs for Odie's hoomin, and I hope
she finds the purrfect friend at the humane society to help fill the
hole
Odie's passing has left....he/she will be a lucky kitty for sure.
I'd heard about the Huigenzas--weren't they featured in the news
at one time? What a great memorial for Cherry Pop, or was it
Lollypop, their RB cat that the room was named after? They
definitely sound like my kind o' folks.
