Well, the in-laws and their d*g left this morning. The cats are quite
relieved that the stinky critter has left and they've been extra-clingy
today. It might be the cold weather, or the fact that they missed us,
since they spent all day Saturday hiding from the d*g.
I'm not sure having the d*g over it's a good thing, but Tom thinks
they'll get used to it. The only cats that were curious about Daisy were
Fez and Rufous, everybody else just ran for the hills.
We'll see.

Maybe, if she visits often enough, they will get used to her. Especially
when they realise she does always leave eventually. ;o)

If you see those two quietly conferring in the corner, be afraid. Be very
afraid. I can only imagine what they might have planned for Daisy's next
visit.
I'd be reluctant to take a dog into a home that has seven very secure indoor
cats. Liable to give the poor dog a complex from which it might not
recover.

That's what we first thought. We even trimmed the cats' nails
beforehand, to prevent them from hurting Daisy. However, their security
when out the door the moment the little critter started yapping at them.

In our case, the cats are training the d-thing. Speedy has learned that
he is not to go within three feet of QC, Berfert, or Merlin. Tanada
won't go within 20 feet of the d-thing. Grayling, or whatever his name
is, has discovered that he can go into the enclosure and safely ignore
the d-thing, as they have both learned that Speedy cannot get through
the enclosure fence. I'd have to say that things are settling down a
bit, though the dynamics have changed with the entrance of Smokey (or
whatever his name is) and Speedy into the house.
BTW, Smokey is ready to be taken back to be adopted into his forever
home, though Rob hasn't made the arrangements yet.
