Well, I brought my girls to their new home from the boarding
kennel, yesterday.  I was already impressed with the
facility when they provided me with "report cards" (they
called it a "Guest Revue") for each of them.  Quite thorough
- detailing their reactions to their food, their elimination
routine, activities, mood, and general behavior.  At home,
it is Melisande who is most affectionate with strangers, and
most outgoing.  At the vets, it was the other way around -
Cendrillon was marked "very affectionate", Melisande "took
time to adjust".  Also unlike at home, it was Cendri who sat
on her perch absorbing events around her, while Melly kept
more to herself - except for teasing Cendri (which is
usually reciprocal).  Then today, the kennel called me to
check on how the cats were adjusting to the return home,
which impressed me even more.

There was a lot of prowling and meowing when they first got
here - especially Cendri, but she does tend to be the more
talkative.  They had no hesitation about eating their dinner
last night, and they BOTH slept on me, most of the night!
(Fortunately it was cooler than it has been, but NOT exactly
a "three cat night" - that's a total of twenty pounds of
warm, furry "living blanket" on top of the normal covering.)

I think it will work out okay - there are only two windows,
but they are on opposite sides of the apartment, with
different things to watch, and a lot of foot traffic past
the one in the living room.  (With their cat tower by the
living room window, and another cat perch by the one in the
bedroom, they have good vantage points.)  It seems to be
working out okay for the human member of the family, too, so
I forsee a long, contented life here.

I'm _very_ happy to hear it. Purrs for a long and contented life for you and
your clowder.

I'm glad to hear all went well.
