Would You Consider Helping Poohbear and Max--Two Tabby Cats??

I am in need of help for 2 of my cats: Poohbear and Max.

I have a 3rd cat, Tigger, who was diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure
in May of this year.

A week ago, I noticed that Max was wheezing, and coughing, so I called
my vet, and was dispensed Cefa-drops for a week. On Tuesday, I
listened to Poohbear's lungs also, and noticed the same thing, but
even more wheezing, so I went and got another bottle of the
antibiotics to treat Poohbear with.  Well, they have finished the
medicine, and they are still having the problem. I don't know exactly
what is going to be needed to treat, but I know they have to be seen
in the office to get better, perhaps X-rays, (I really don't know),
probably medications, and I do not have the money for any of this.

I currently owe my vet for Tigger's diagnostics, blood work,
medicines, and I am trying to pay it off a little at a time. I am
disabled, and live on Social Security Disability. I have nowhere else
to cut my budget.

I need help to be able to take Poohbear and Max to my vet to have this
wheezing diagnosed, and treated. Would you please consider helping us
with this expense?

Poohbear is an 8-year-old neutered male; Max is a 6-year-old neutered
male. They are strictly indoor cats, never allowed to roam free. I do
walk them outside occasionally, when I am up to it, on a harness. I
have not called and scheduled any appointments, as I do not have any
money to bring them into the office. Without any money, what would be
the point, as I cannot pay for the visit?  I am scared and upset and I
don't know what else to do. I did what I could, getting the
Antibiotics, but they were not enough, something else is needed, and I
don't know what, because I don't know what is wrong. Perhaps it is
Asthma? I don't know, I am guessing. Poohbear and Max really need your
help.

Would you consider helping us?

If this is genuine, I'm sorry to hear about your furboys.

You may get more response if you give contact details for the
vet. People can then make a payment direct to the vet, after
verifying the credentials, to cover your furboys accounts. I'm
certain that's what's been done here before.

That's a good suggestion.  That is normally how it is done on this group.

Yep, lots of people have sent money to the vet's office to help defray cat
care expenses in the past.  But we aren't going to send money to an
inDUHvidual we've never heard of before.

I've had @gmail blocked for a month now.  My newsgroups are much more
peaceful.  Much less spam and scam tactics going on.

I truly understand your concerns, as I thought the same things. I
would have liked for the fundraiser to make the payment directly to
the vet's office. But, I just got done speaking with one of the
receptionist's from the office. They are closed after Noon on Saturday
and all day Sunday, but I know the girls in the office. I have been
using this vet for the past 8.5 years. I told her my dilemma, and she
said go ahead and give the office information, so I am going to do
this. The vet's office doesn't have a web site, but they are
registered at: http://www.nysvms.org/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=viewlink&link_id=117&Itemid=27

I am also concerned for them to start receiving a lot of phone calls,
as they are a busy office. There are only 3 vets, and the office is
very busy. I live in a rural area, so people come from miles and miles
around to this particular office. I don't want time taken away from
other animals that need care to answer a question if I am truly a
client or not. I am.
So, I am going to post my name, my vet's office name and address.
Please, please, if you donate to us, send me an e-mail so that I might
at least say thank you. This is my family you are helping and it means
the world to me. The least I could do is to say Thank you. if You
prefer to remain anonymous, I respect that also. To those who choose
to do it that way, let me say Thank you from the bottom of my heart,
and I will be praying that the Lord will bless you many times in
return. As our need is real. And I love my cats, like my children.
They ARE my children, and my family. I do not have any 'human'
children, just my furkids.  . I will call and make an appointment for
the end of the week to have Poohbear and Max looked and and pray we
receive help by then. I don't know what else to do.  If anyone has ANY
suggestions, I will welcome them. Please email me at
debnfurboys@gmail.com.

Here is all the information you will need to help directly to my vet's
office.
My Name:    Deborah Bogaert

My Vet's Information:
Lyons Veterinary Clinic
1961 Rt. 14
Lyons, NY 13441

The link for the New York State Veterinary Medical Society where they
are listed is:
http://www.nysvms.org/index.php?option=com_mtree&task=viewlink&link_id=117&Itemid=27

I have also created a tiny url to the site, of course, if you go to
the main page and search for my vet's office, you will find them that
way also.

Please continue to go to my blog where I will update as soon as I know
what is going on with the boys.

If anyone needs a receipt sent to them after donating for tax purposes
or something, please contact me and I will get that to you. What I am
thinking I should send would be a copy of the Veterinary Bill after
taking them to the office.

THANK YOU AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
