This morning DP got out of bed to feed gravy gal (Tyche) and gravy guy
(Smokey).

Now:  The usual story is that a can of fancy feast is divided into
two.  Tyche descends upon the first bowl like a plague of locusts
(assuming the plague consists of one, very fat, locust that
nevertheless eats all it sees) and the second bowl is for Smokey (who
is either actually a gentleman, or else thinks letting Tyche eat first
will get him laid, or else still perceives Tyche as a kitten.  At any
rate, Smokey always defers to both of the bitties).

Nocturne watches the unwashed masses feed with utter disdain.  A LADY
is not observed at supper.  (Translation:  Nox MIGHT eat soft food, IF
she felt like it, and IF she was alone.  Why is there none left for
her?  See:  plague of locusts.)

Kumani hates, hates, hates soft food, so much that when the vet tried
to put her on recovery diet, she starved herself for days instead, and
when fed dry kibble out of desperation, enthusiastically dug in.

Kumani's opinion changed this morning for no reason.

As Plague of Tyche descended on Bowl #1, Kumani decided maybe she
wanted Bowl #2.  Smokey stepped back to let the lady/foxy babe/kitten
eat.  Kumani, inexplicably, finished it off.  Smokey began to scream,
so DP opened another can to create Bowl #3 for Smokey.

And tonight, Kumani started to cry in the kitchen so...with a small
spoon of wet food in the dry food bowl to distract Plague of Tyche,
Kumani has finished off what was left in the can tonight.

Why the HELL did Kumani decide NOW, after 4 years of HATING wet food
so much that she scared the vet because she'd rather starve than eat
it, that all of a sudden it's her favourite thing ever?!

wondering if she'll eat it tomorrow?

Clearly, she is a graduate of Shmogg's Bastard Cat Trickery and General
Human Bewilderment College. Now he's at Rainbow Bridge, its easier for him
to whisper in her ear :-)

I am not sure but watch her and see what she is eating like, could be a bad

Just sounds like a particularly elaborate Bastard Cat Trick.  Some of them
can take years to play out, you know. ;)
