Molly is coming around

Right now Molly is sleeping on the computer desk a foot away from me.
Curled into a ball with one hind leg covering her eyes and both front paws
holding the leg in place.

Last night when Charlie got out the plates and the knife to prepare their
evening shrimp, she came and sat at his feet then stood up on her back legs
to watch just like she had been doing it every evening her whole life.

Sounds like she's gradually getting to trust you.  It's wonderful when that
happens.

I'm happy to hear that Molly's coming around too. I'm in a similar situation
with our Odessa, where sometimes she's skittish as hell and other times she is
super-friendly. I can picture Molly's gimme-my-chow posture right now; Stosh
pulls that one too!

Blessed be,
Baha

Excellent news!  I'm so glad she's settling in so quickly.

It's amazing the positions that cats find comfortable. :o)

Aww, she's realised she is in a good place now.

A house is not a home, without a cat.

Glad to hear that little Molly is fitting. I have a favor to ask
though, never let my gang of furry fiends know that there is such a
thing as "evening shrimp".  If they ever found out that some kitties
get shrimpies every evening, I'd never hear the end of it.  I can
imagine the meowing and the crying right now.

Jake did earn this treat the hard way.  He went missing for nearly two
weeks. (Letting them roam is NOT my idea) When he came home, battered and
bruised, his chin was injured and his tongue was torn.  Our darling vet did
reconstructive surgery on his tongue.  So Jake really can't lap things up
like a normal cat.  He does OK with water but does like to drink out of the
faucet.  He can pick up dry food.  The shrimps get finely minced and then
put into little piles so he can bite them up.

This little girl is going to be the death of us.  Now that she is relaxing,
she wants OUT.  She cannot go out because she has no idea as yet where home
is.  I'm working on getting a harness on her, and walk out in the yard with
her in my arms when the sun is out.  But she wants OUT.  Add to that she is
fast and she is feral.  We spent an hour out last night tracking her down
with the spotlight and getting her out of a tree.  She's faster than either
one of us.  Only a matter of time till the next time.  I know how we are
going to be getting our exercise this winter.
