Just had some sad news...
When I was a teenager (Yes I was once!) I used to be friends with two
brother Les and John
Haven't seen them for years but we used to have a good time togther I
mean even hearing thie names takes me back to the "White Hart" in
Romford (Yes I am an Essex girl..but one who moved to London as fast
as I could) and a lot of old friends I lost touch with to my regret
John was a complete p**s artist and it has to be said he did have a
style. He was the one who got so memorably drunk he took his socks off
and tried to sell them in the middle of a pub-you thought he was
drunk? Someone did buy them
Later on John started to cope with his hangovers by trying to outrun
them- as a result he raised thousand for charities by doing the London
Marathon
Les...just sat in the corner and drank I guess
I heard today that Les died of liver failure (I am told his liver
exploded but I don't believe that) aged 51 only about 18 months older
than me
He used to be in a band and kept urging me to come and see tem..the
first time I had flu and didn't make it the second time I made it and
they cancelled because they had flu and the third time I made it only
to find the band had split up the same day
The band was called "Jinx"
I am sending purrs to John and Les

Purrs for your friend, his brother and of course, for you. Time doesn't
seem to lesson friendships even if you haven't kept in constant touch.
