I wasn't feeling so good during the weekend, and I spent most of
Saturday and Sunday sleeping. Caliban was the sweetest little nurse
kitty. He seemed really worried. He would jump onto the bed looking
really anxious, walk up to my face, and press his nose to my mouth while
he carefully sniffed my breath. Awww! Kissing Meowmie all better. He
always raised my spirits a lot when he did that. Then he would snuggle
up against me and curl up to sleep. It was as if he was saying, OK, if
this is what we're doing today, I'll join you.
Miranda, on her part, gave me several full-body massages. Every time I
went back to bed, she would start walking all over me while kneading and
purring all the time. At some point, she would ask me to lift up the
blanket so she could crawl under it and snuggle up to me there.
What a nice thing it is to have two nurse kitties.

Hope you're feeling better.
Cats really can be worried about you, I think. Tho sometimes I think
they're worried about my ability to open a can. :-)
Just kidding. They somehow seem to *know* when you're sick
and can be really devoted to watching over you.

Oh, I did suspect that Caliban was just worried I wouldn't be able to
feed him, but when I did feed him, he still came right back to snuggle
with me (after he had licked his bowl clean, of course).

Agreed! Persia seems to know when I am feeling poorly. She sticks to me
like glue then. If I'm feeling just fine she takes her usual nap on the
comforter in the closet :)

Awww. My cats aren't very nursy. I love them but I have to say, nursing
is not their calling :D

Nocturne LOVES to tend us when we are sick.
It's nice considering how she rules us with an iron paw when we are
healthy :)

I know what you mean. Frank and Nikki were never into nursing, either.

Hope you feel better Marina. You're lucky btw. Before Rob's cancer,
I'd get sick and the cats would play king of the hill on my hip. Pine
Cone was the much disputed champion. Since Rob's cancer, they have
taken up the hobby of head sitting. They like to wait until the sick
person lays down then drape their udders over the top of the ill
person's head. This can cover a lot of area, in Merlin's case. He
once draped his udder over my head and not only did I develop a heat
headache, but I woke up to a cloud of white. For a moment I thought
it was snowing, in June, in North Carolina, In the northern
hemisphere, in the house, and so forth. It was almost terrifying,
then funny. After I got my head out of there and took a bunch of
tylenol.

LOL! Sometimes, it can be a little overpowering when Caliban wants to be
close to Meowmie. Like this morning, when I was starting to wake up, he
came and sat on me and started kneading my chest right on my heart.
'Baby, I'm already awake, I don't need CPR!' With his weight, I thought
he would put my heart out of rhythm! ;)

Awwww, sweet of them. =o) It's such an honor when they curl up next
to you to try to purr your ailments away. Hope you're feeling better
now, Marina.

I'm so glad to hear Miranda and Caliban are taking such good care of
you, Marina. I hope you are feeling better already.
Lots of purrs and hugs,
