Rob got Tanada last night. We've been eating a lot of those tasty
legumes that add their own perfume to the atmosphere. Yup, beans.
Tanada was laying in the cat bed on my desk, hoping that none of the
bigger cats would try to stare her out of it. After we finally agreed
that she wouldn't stand in front of the monitor for longer than five
minutes at a time, and only when I'm writing, viewing, or doing some
online looksee. I was facing the monitor with my back turned to the
bed that Rob was laying in when I noticed that Tanada was giving Rob
the evil cat glare of death. I opened my mouth to ask him what she
was so upset about when he apologized for cutting a muffin. She was
still glaring at him when I finally smelled it. It was worthy of an
evil cat glare of death. Rob says that she's jealous of his abilities
in that area. Whatever.
MCG (Miss Calico Girl) the rescue that we're fostering is doing well,
though she still hasn't developed a sense of humor. This wouldn't be
bad, but Pine Cone and Merlin have taken up singing to her during the
night. I understand that the conversation goes something like
this. . .
PC: Mrooooowwwwww oooowwww nnnnoooowwwww Hey Babe.
MCG; hhhhhiiiiiisssssssss GO AWAY
PC: Mmmeeeerrrroooooooooo mmmmrrrrrooowwww I hear you're pretty
cute.
MCG HHHiiiiissssssss GO AWAY
PC: MMMMMEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOO I think I'm in love.
MCG: HHHHHHIIIIIIIssssss You're neutered, GO AWAY
PC: MMMMMMEEEEEOOOOOOWWWWWWWW You don't have to be like that babe, I
has a wink wink lady of great refinement.
Merlin: YYYYOOOOOWWWWWW Get lost PC you already gots a ladycat.
Sweetie, I'm young, strong, available
(Pine Cone leaves in a huff)
MCG: HHHHHHIIIIIIIIISSSSSSS GO THE H*LL AWAY You're neutered, lame,
and I've heard those exact lines before.
Merlin: Meowm? You are beautiful when you're angry
Mandy throws a shoe at the bedroom door about now and I coverr my head
with the blanket to muffle my laughter.
Amanda's boyfriend, Jim, isn't the only one who loves the video and
song "Don't Download This Song" I've become fond of it too. As have
at least three cats who show up whenever it is on the computer. They
seem to like classical rock, preferably at volume. I was playing some
Meatloaf and Tanada pushed the volume knob up on the speakers. My
cats have class.
