The cats and I are outsidel You'd think they'd be grateful, but they are
very unhappy.
I am bug-bombing the apartment, and they have to sit in a big cage, while
I sit in a comfy wheelie chair. For three hours. In the muggy heat.
See, I wanted a crate big enough for all the cats. I didn't check to see
if it would fit in my little Ford Escort so that we could idle in
air-conditioned comfort. Oh nonono!
So I am sitting on the shaded porch, while the babies almost huddle
together, nervous and worried. I hear an occasional hiss. Dulce Mae is
*standing* in the food. Little Feet is guarding the water. Bucky's first
reaction was bald-faced panic, although I've sweet-talked him into an
on-edge relaxation.
A couple of ferals (Blacky and Fluffy Tail) have come by to either say hi
or to gloat.
They seem to be okay for now, seeing that we aren't travelling, so I hope
their respective heart rates have gone back down.
I'm going to sit on the ground and sweet talk my babies for a while. Wish
us luck...
Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Well, they can't be *too* overheated if they're doing that. Would *you*
cuddle up to a fur coat in that heat? :) Either that, or their anxiety
is overruling their temperature. Poor beasties!

Purrs for everyone, and hope that your house is bug-free for a long time!

Mischief - 07 Oct 2007 06:32 GMT
hehehe reminds me when I boarded Imp and Mischief at work during the
holidays and due to space constraints they had to be a little crowded
in one cage. Imp and Mischief tolerate each other, will occasioanlly
wrestle, but NEVER are they curled up next to each other.
I had put in a foam cube from home and it's big enough for ONE cat.
about ten minutes after i put them into the cage, I heard growling. I
saw BOTH of them smushed up together in the cube. Both of them were
trying to fit into the cube, and both of them were glaring at me and
at each other.
And I could read their thoughts.
"Move over."
"I'm not moving, YOU move over"
"You're touching me."
"No, you're touching ME. Stop touching me."
hehe

It's awfully muggy for October, isn't it? Purrs you all survive the
humidity and the bugs. The Cleveland Indians should have bug bombed their
stadium-- or maybe not. ;) :P
