Persia's not so mad at me anymore and she actually ate some food (she'd
ignored it the first night I was away). She's also not running to the
closet because she thinks I'm leaving again. I'm not! I'll go back over
for a visit with Scott on Sunday but I'm home the rest of today and
tomorrow. I don't anticipate needing to spend the night over there anymore
:)
Scott is doing well. They removed the 2nd (and last) chest tube yesterday.
I changed the dressing this morning before I came back home. He's still
sore, of course, but he has pain meds. He was able to sleep in his bed in
relative comfort last night. Sitting up from a prone position is still a
tad painful but we didn't have to go out and get foam or extra pillows
(thanks for the suggestions!). It will just take time to heal.
I'll go back over there on Sunday to check on him. I don't anticipate
having to spend the night anymore. It's good to be home with my lovely
Persia and chirpy Peaches :)

I've been thinking of Peaches lately. We finally have a new neighbor in the
house that was vacated nearly a year ago after the tenants from hell moved
out.
The son of the owners has moved in with his girlfriend, who is a vet. She
has a pair of birds who resemble Peaches from this distance anyway. She
hangs their cage outside quite often so I see them a lot. Just not from
really close up.
There is something so refreshing about seeing a pair of birds out enjoying
the air.
