Cat Forum / Cat Anecdotes / October 2007Just when you think its safe to go into the water
All last week we kept saying we'd get through the week and have a chance to catch our breath and recharge and perhaps my father and stepmother (who have been primary support for my brother for a year) could even take a vacation and relax. My stepmother ended up in the hospital earlier this week and I've just gotten of the phone with them and she's back in the hospital. Based on blood work and urinalysis the doctors think she has multiple myeloma. They're doing a bone marrow biopsy tomorrow and will know more after that. Her doctor has talked to them about bone marrow transplantation. If they determine that is the treatment option of choice she'll come to the university hospital where I work. I'd better start cleaning house, my father may end up staying with us for awhile. If you don't mind, would you include my father and stepmother on your purr list?
