Day with Charleen and Suz

Charleen visited me and Suz again a couple of days ago.  Charleen came
over my house first, where she was investigated by Buster.  Buster had
a puffy tail and slunk away a little when Charleen petted him,
exclaiming that he was so soft.  But in a couple of minutes, Buster
had decided that she was his favorite auntie.  Dot was also all over
her, purring, headbutting, and doing wheelies.

We went over to Suz's place next, where as usual, we were confronted
by petite Spicey.  In between guarding us, she gave us some cute belly

Aww!! She's so relaxed! I thought she was a fierce protector of Suz!

She's relaxed because we were sitting on the couch. :)  Spicey
objected very strongly to us getting up to get drinks, etc.

The belly rolling started a discussion among us whether Spicey is a
tortie or a calico.  I opined that she's a tortie, because the white
on her paws and belly are not very dominant, and she just plain looks
like a tortie when she's right-side-up. :)

She is still like her Meowmie, not as sweet as she looks. Her name
suits both her coloring and personality.

Thanks for posting the like. Charleen by the way looked great, she
looked very healthy.

It was a fun day. :)  I think Charleen's been factory-refurbished.
She seemed very healthy.

You have a pair of very friendly, social kitties! And I'm glad that
Dot has become so outgoing that she can enjoy meeting new people and
showing them how lucky you are to be her human.

I haven't watched the video yet, but I had to comment: this sounds like
a far cry from the greeting *I* got! Maybe she's in a better mood now?
Or Charleen just knows how to put fierce guard kitties at ease?

They're both a bit more people oriented than cat oriented,
particularly Dot, who still dislikes Buster, although she let him wash
her head this morning.

Oh no, we get exactly the same treatment. :)  Spicey growled at both
me and Charleen, but sometimes she gets into her own little world and
roll around acting cute.

She let him wash her head??? That's way more than Laku would ever allow
Nico to do. Nico sometimes tries to be closer with Laku, but Laku won't
have any of it, huffs or hisses and bolts away, or baps Nico on the head
and strides off (into the sunset...).

It's usually only in the morning when she allows this, when she's
sleepy and feels protected by being in the crook of my arm.  At other
times, she'll ack at him to warn him off when he comes over to sniff
her head. :)

Oh my goodness - she's beautiful! But what a tease - all that belly,
but you know how she'd be if you tried to go up to her.

I agree she is a tortie. I don't care if she has white! :) She just
has that mottled look that torties have. A calico's color patches
cover larger and more discrete areas in a single color.

I do think that Spice, or Spicey, is a perfect name for her. She
looks just like spice cake. Of course, her vanilla frosting is on
the bottom... :)

Yup, she's pepper cinamon, and salt or sugar. When is why I named her
Spice Ann (Ann after my sister), I call her Spicey.

Spicey is such a performer! Great video!
Best wishes,
