I made the mistake of thinking a few days ago how glad I was that at least I
didn't have any large vet bills this month.  All the other expenses were
really out of hand.

But night before last, Jake decided to pee in our bed.  Not in the middle
mind you.  No, on my side.  And he really soaked it.  This is totally out of
character for him, so while I was dealing with all the extra laundry we made
a vet appointment for him.  He hadn't been in for a plain old check up in
ages.  He just turned nine and its been nine pretty hard years, so I asked
them to do a complete senior panel while we were there.

We heard back from the vet today with the results.  All his test results are
fine, well within normal ranges.  He should be good to go for another nine
years.

I'm so glad to hear my boy's OK that its worth the extra expense.  Guess
I'll just have to do a better job with the litter pans.  That and making
sure no one closes him up in a room that doesn't have one.

It would be a whole lot easier if he didn't spend so much time hiding out.
I suspect that was the problem.  That he was napping under the headboard and
got closed into the room.  Doesn't help that he does have a glass of water
in there, but no litter pan.

That must have been quite unpleasant, but I'm glad he's okay.

That's wonderful, Jo. WTG, Jake! Maybe he just had an accident.

I'm glad to hear Jake is fine. I'm sure it was unpleasant though
having to deal cleaning the bed sheets at a time you hadn't planned
on.

And of course he picked a time when it had just been done!

I'm so relieved to hear that.
Best wishes,
