Also, doesn't someone - maybe Theresa - have a brother whose birthday
is today? I remember last year she posted saying, "OMG, *DON'T LET

Barnacles are little devils that fasten onto the keel of a boat and
won't let go, whatever you do to them. They're the reason that boat
owners paint the bottom of their boats with pisonous paint, that then
leaches into the sea, causing much more damage than the barnacles would.
It's a wicked circle.

In the past, wealthy boat owners would clad the hulls of their boats with
copper to stop barnales. Hence the term "copper bottom investment".
