She's been doing this for a while now and I wonder if anybody else's
cat does it. I have an old hairbrush that I used to brush Woodgie with
when she was a little kitten and had first come to our house. I've
since gotten two "cat" brushes. That's ok (more or less) with her, but
she chews the devil out of the hirbrush when she can get close to it.
It's got nylon bristles , so they are not likely to be gnawed off much
although she has kinda crimped the ends of a few rows of bristles. Any
body know why she might be doing it? She doesn't do it to her "feline"
brush or any other hairbrush or toothbrush. She may just be an
oddball.

Didn't we used to have a cat on here that liked to steal and chew
toothbrushes?

Sarsi likes to chew the hair off the brush just after she's been brushed

Nope. I don't know what it's all about, but Stinky and (RB) Mimi used to
chew on their brushes, too. I have a Zoom Groom now-- not so crunchable,
apparently.

Thanks, all. Now I don't think she's so terribly strange....
