Please excuse the mess in my bedroom - I'm packing for a trip to Washington,
DC tomorrow.

Funny coincidence, I was thinking about which catslaves might live in the
Arlington/DC area*, and I thought of Howard Berkowitz (who, I know, moved
from there a while back). Howard hasn't been on the group for ages, but not
5 minutes after I thought about him I came into my office and found an email
from him to the catslaves group!!

* Even though, unfortunately, I won't be able to meet with anybody - this
trip is for work and they have my time scheduled too tightly for social
visits.

Will do! I just wish I had more time to see it. I haven't been to the
Smithsonian since I was a kid - but I'd need at least three days just to
touch the surface of it.

I would *SO* love to meet Rita. But I'll be arriving at 6:42, then
immediately going out to dinner with work associates, the starting class
(with breakfast) at 7:00AM Tuesday, there'll be a company dinner Tuesday
night, then class again all day Wednesday, then a flight home Wednesday
evening. They have my schedule so packed I'm wondering when I'll even get a
bathroom break!! I thought about coming sooner, maybe Saturday or Sunday,
but because of this company "caucus", the hotel is booked solid (plus it's a
pricey one).

I'm so sorry I won't get to meet her. I'll keep this in mind, however, if I
ever have another chance to come up to our company headquarters.

Heh...similar to why my bed is never really made...:)

I'll wave *hi* in the general direction of DC today for you!
Hope it's a decent trip, even if it's all work.

who allowed that perhaps I was OK to rub against and accept
