Hi all, I used to be a member here. Too busy with the Offutt
Orphanage kitty rescue to keep up with many groups. Any who, I'm looking
for info on fixing surgical alopecia. I got a 5 week old kitten nearly 2
months ago with a really broken femur that needed to be pinned. He was
caught in a trap that was set for a lab puppy so we think the door came
down on his leg. It's been 7 weeks since his surgery, at least, and that
leg is still basically bald. I'm hoping (slim chance) that the lack of
hair growth is due to something about the metal of the pin and it will
grow back after he gets the pin removed on Monday. Anybody know anything
about this? It's a new one to me, all the girls I've had spayed
(hundreds!) have had their hair grow back right away. It's going to be
hard to get him adopted if he's got a naked leg and half his butt is
naked too. Not his foot though, he looks like he's wearing a fuzzy
slipper. hahahaha Poor Walden!

I'm sure there'll be someone who wants to love him BECAUSE he's a
little out of the ordinary... (hey, they pay a fortune for sphynxes -
SOMEONE must like naked cats!)
