I was really tickled by something Tak wrote a couple of days ago-- he
referred to Dot and Buster as "The Cat Committee."  My guys are a lot like
that, too.

You all know Dante came here almost two years ago now -- WOW!  I can't
believe it-- he's still "the bitty."  The feline cannonball bitty. ;)  And
you know that he and Stinky really didn't hit it off the way I had hoped.
Stinky pretty much tolerates Dante, except when Dante gets in his face,
which he does a time or two a day.  But they aren't cuddly pals the way I'd
hoped.  I pretty much have separate relationships with each of them.  They
each relate to me separately.  I pet and cuddle and give them separate lap
time.  It's not ideal, but it's working fine, and I love them both.

They aren't friends.  They are-- sort of -- "colleagues."  It's weird, but
while they are not cuddly-buddies, there are just certain things that they
come together for.  They have a job to do, and they put aside their
differences and work together.  Morning is like that.  I open my eyes, and
they are both right there, lined up perfectly, four front paws, two
black-and-white faces, four green eyes, all lined up together.  That's like
what Tak called a visit from The Cat Committee.  Hello, we are The Cat
Committee, and we are here to wake you up and re-acquaint (in the nicest
possible way) you with your reponsibility to lavish food and attention on us
immediately.  We can co-operate.  In fact, we just co-operated, taking turns
putting our delicious kitty spit into your glass of water on the nightstand.
Enjoy.  Not at all.  Take your time.  We'll wait.

To the tune "Pinky and the Brain" from the Animaniacs cartoon show

It's Stinky and the Pain
Stinky and the Pain
Stinky's a genius and Dante's just strange.
They do committee work, and Dante shows his girth.
They're Hinky,
Stinky and the Pain, Pain, Pain, Pain, Pain.

Pam S. who tries or is it trying?

BWHAHAHAHA!  Geez, what would I do without the Cartoon Network to help keep
me immature? ;)

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Oh that is good just too good.

I'm not sure if you remember but for christmas last year my mom gave
me some flannel sheets.

I put them on the bed and posted on this group an email that read like
this.

"Dear Mom, thank you for the flannel sheets.  They've been thoroughly
tested and approved by the committee."

And I attached pics of the cats just sprawled out on the bed.

Mischief and Mayhem are the most vocal of the Three Troublemakers.
Imp is more of a 'silent' member, but will get in on the action if he
feels brave enough.  Like when Mischief walking all over me doesn't
wake me up, and Mayhem sticking her furry nose in my face doesn't do
it, they'll call him up onto the bed and he'll bite my feet.  HARD.

That definitely gets my attention.  Or they'll convince him to hork up
a hairball.

I'm telling ya, NOTHING will get you out of bed faster than the sound
of 'hurk....hurk..hurk....'

That's our Cinder and Rosie cat committee.  Except one face is black
with yellow eyes and the other is gray with tabby marks and green
eyes.

The Fabulous Furballs committee meeting has just finished or
adjourned. As usual the venue was behind the toilet. They sat and
looked at each other presumably communicating agenda items via
telepathy. Occasionally what I assume was a motion being carried led
to one licking or rubbing the head of the successful proposer.

Meeting just adjourned for a refreshment break in the kitchen

Meeting must be over- they're prowling the hallway I guess "increasing
greebling defensive capacity" may have been on the agenda

I'm starting to envision a LOLCat with some reference to Robertz Roolz of
Order. :P

The committee here seems to convene at 7 am, unless I preempt them by
getting up early.  It's heaven seeing those sweet little faces with
expectant eyes. :)

In our house that's Dunzi- they've got "good cop, bad cop" down to a T. Dunzi
gives us the sweet wide eyed expectant look and Sarsi looks at us is if
reminding us that it our duty to place food in the bowl and if it is not
there in the next few nanoseconds then all Hell with break loose

Over here, Mir is so not interested in food that she never begs for it.
She can wait for half an hour or even several hours after I've dished
out the food before she shows any interest in eating. So it's only
Caliban who gives me that wide-eyed expectant look. But then he does it
with a vengeance. He seems to think about food all the time - even
immediately after he has eaten his latest meal.

Amelia behaves like Cali does. They get dry food in the morning and have
kibble available all day. The kibble feeder holds enough for 2 or 3 days.

When I get home in the late afternoon or early evening the first thing
Amelia does is lead me to the kitchen and turn circles in front of the
kibble feeded. It's like she's saying "see, there's a gap of a couple
inches inside the tower. Hadn't you better fill it so we don't run out?
Now?"

And after I put down their canned food in the morning I'll go into the
living room to put on my shoes. When I return to the kitchen a few minutes
later, she'll give me a look that seems to be saying "Is that all? That
isn't enough to keep my poor tiny, dainty self going all day".

LOL! I love how Cali meows these pitiful little meows, like he's too
weak to make a stronger noise, when he wants feeding. He's so pathethic!

Reminds me of Isis (RB) who used to do this pathetic little mew, which had a
wobble in the middle as if to say "I am so starved and hungry I cannot even
mew properly"

LOL! I remember that wobble - Nikki used to do it, too.

Thanks for the laugh!
