Actually, I've been back for a couple of days but things have been
kind of hectic and I've been trying to catch up (unsuccessfully I
should add).  We had a great time on our vacation.  I love the weather
and it was so hard coming back to 100 degree F temps. We rode the Cog
Railroad and it was very cloudy, winy and cold at the top but an
experience we enjoyed.  The next morning we drove to the top and got
to see everything without the clouds and wind.  We also went on a
whale watching excursion, ate some great lobster and seafood in Maine
and some wonderful Italian food in Cambridge, MA.  We visited Salem,
MA and I have pictures of the House of Seven Gables as well as "witch"
memorials. It was a totally wonderful vacation.

I'm not going to try to catch up on all of the messages, although I'm
checking all the headers.  We're sending purrs out for Jill's mother
and family as well as Karen's mother and family.  As I read and find
needs for purrs I'll tell the owners and they'll include them in your
purrs.  Sam and I are going to TED tomorrow for X-rays. Hopefully
there won't be any signs of recurrent tumor.  I'll let you know.

Ginger-Lynn, I can't find your email address for some reason. If you
get a minute send me an email and we'll talk about Chantix.  It has
some side-effects (like nausea and some vivid dreams) but it has
really made a difference and I can strongly recommend you go ahead and
get the prescription filled.

Hugs and purrs and gentle headbutts to everyone!

Welcome home, Julie. Hey, you visited Cambridge, MA! That's where I
lived as a kid. :)

Miranda wanted to make sure Barnabus didn't miss this picture:

She acted like, oh, she hates the camera, but I think she's quite
pleased with this portrait.

He licked his paw and then swiped the screen. I wonder what that
means? He wants to send his own message to Miranda but lately he tends
to put the laptop in hibernating mode when he gets his paws on the
keyboard, so he get the chance tonight. I have some new pictures of
him to send you Miranda and he's made me promise to do that this
weekend. Cambridge was my kind of college town. I really did like it.

Purrs and headbutts to Miranda from Barnabus and spotty tummy
scritches to Caliban from me.

Oh major purrs that Sam has excellent xrays with nothing to be seen. I
found out one of our technicians dogs has osteosarcoma in his leg but
it is too far along, so they are just keeping him comfortable. I was
telling him about Sam and how because of the asthma and xrays they
caught it pretty early.

Poor baby, they can't amputate the leg and get most of it? I know that
it doesn't respond well to chemo or radiation but fortunately, in cats
it is supposedly a slow growing tumor.  I managed to get Hobbes' BG
tonight. I wanted to get it at 11:30. At about 11:10 he jumped into my
lap. Sorry, bud, this means a stick. He was not happy with me, but he
did get a treat afterwards.  At 4 1/2 hours after his insulin he's at
264. He usually hits his low point at 5 hours. I may hold here for a
few weeks and then take him in for a fructosamide test. If he drops
anymore between 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 hours he could drop into the 100s. I'm
going to check him all day on Sunday and see what I get.  Our babies
can be such a challenge sometimes but they're worth every worry and
every hardship.

Hugs to you, purrs for your mother and gentle headbutts to help with
the worry for you.

Welcome back!  Glad to hear you had a great time.  Would love to see the
pics of the witch memorials.

Hope the TED visit went well for Sam.  Purrs that it did.

Will e-mail you.  Heck, I can't find half of my e-mails half of the time
(or is that half of my e-mails all of the time, and half my e-mails some
of the time -- oh, never mind!)
