Oh, that's Nikki too. She will always sneak up behind me quietly, then
just sit there so I step back on her. I think she does it on purpose,

I've at times thought Felix deliberately sticks a tail or paw into the
traffic flow so he'll get picked up and comforted when he gets stepped
on. I keep telling him there are better ways to ask for attention. :-)
