There was a little earthquake here last night, just after midnight. I
finally read the report about it tonight, on the US Geological Survey
site. It was a mere 3.2, a baby among earthquakes. I was surprised it
was that small, because it felt strong to me. The reason for that? I
was only one kilometer from the epicenter!! It really startled me. Roxy
and Licky dove under my bed, and Roxy didn't come out for a couple of
hours. (In truth, I think she just fell asleep under there. :))

Wierd! The Earth was restless last night apparently. There were some big
ones down in Peru.

Oh man, that must have been scary! The closest I ever came to experiencing
an earthquake was when I worked for Shell Oil and I went on a field trip to
one of their seismic testings - it was a "vibroseis" line and a *HUGE* truck
would shake the earth so they could record the seismic returns (looking for
oil). I don't think I'd want to experience a natural one!
