Buster is becoming a house cat

More and more, I see Buster in the house when I get home, and Senyah
telling me "He's been here all day."

More and more, Buster chooses to sleep in our bed, rather than find a
good place outside.

More and more, Buster is using the litterboxes, rather than asking to
go outside.

I'm really glad that Buster is deciding to stay here. He is a very
loving, but slightly clingy (not that I mind) cat, but he seems to be
losing his edge of desperation and fear.

In fact, he used to be afraid to eat in the kitchen because of all the
scary noises (dishwasher, microwave, bubbling pots, etc.). Now he kind
of looks around, then veeeeery carefully walks up to the food dish. I
always tell him that I'll protect him - nothing in the kitchen is
going to get him.

I'm hoping he gets over wanting outside alltogether (grin).

Mark

Smokey, a former feral, has completely lost his taste for outside.  He
looks out the window at cats and gets all smug.

"HA HA!  *I'M* in here with the FOOD and the COUCH and the PEOPLE WHO
GIVE ME THE KITTY LUV and you're OUT THERE where there's WEATHER and
COYOTES and NO FOOD.  Sucks to be you!"

Buster will figure it out ;)

A house is not a home, without a cat.

Good for Buster!  He's a very smart kitty, and getting smarter all the
time.

That's so great, Mark!  Buster is figuring out, 'inside' beats 'outside',
like a better hand at poker.  Outside is wet and cold; inside is warm and
snuggly.  And FOOD!  Congratulations :)
