A rescuer friend of mine on another list had a housefire the night
before last and lost everything on Saturday morning. Apparently it was
an electrical fire. Please could she have some serious purrs that she
can trap the remaining cats safely?

Thanks

Hi everyone.  And the universe is kind. The cell is actually
415-238-8057.
Not only are we all alive, including cats, but this little
apartment has WiFi access and i got my laptop out of that mess.

various feral and rescue related friends converged yesterday
(including Gesine), all with carriers and traps. out of 14 kittens,
we're onlu missing one very shy little girl. And 30+ adult cats are
safe and acounted for. I only have 7 adults and 1 kittens still to
corral and 4 of those adults have been spotted. A few friends also
showed up today bearing traps and we have 14 traps set inside and
outside the house to try to get the remaining cats in hand.

We are so incredibly lucky. A friend took photos of the house today
so if anyone wants to see it, it's a mess.

What we need right now -- (1) adoption assistance. I won't be able
to do adoptions for awhile and the fosters are parceled out.
Kittens are being cared for by a friend and wonderful foster mom and
she can do those adoptions. A handful of cats are being taken by
other rescues. And a couple of people are taking the ferals as i
get my hands on them. But there are 12-15 tame wonderful adults
bunking here and there, some in cages, who really need help getting
into permanent homes. (2) We need a place to live long-term. We
are so grateful for this tiny 1 bedroom place (two rooms,
kitchenette and bathroom) but we need 2+ bedrooms, cat and rescue
friendly to rent somewhere in the east bay area near San Francisco.
so that's my wish list.

We are so freakin' lucky. Thank you all for your support. And do
the kitty cone, send good trapping vibes, because i still have a few
out there who i need to retrieve.

Purrs on the way. I'm so glad there was no loss of life.

I am so sorry about this. House fires are just devastating for pets
*and* people.
The shy little cat is probably so traumatized.
Just wanted to tell you that when my FIL & MIL's home burned, one cat
was
missing for several days, but did return. Please let us know.

Helen,

These folks apparently live quite near me - I wonder if I can help
them? Unfortunately, due to bad timing, I will be completely unavailable
over this coming weekend, but if I can be of assistance starting
next week, I would like to help them.

Thanks Joyce. Can you email me off-list and I can pass on various
details re: contacts and phone numbers so that you can get in touch

Thousands of years ago, cats were worshipped as gods. Cats have never
forgotten this.

Glad they all got out alive, and sending lots of "easy
trapping" purrs for all the ones that are still loose!

More purrs coming along for adoptions and living space
so that *everyone* has a place to go.

Hope they all get back where they belong very soon!

My heart goes out to all involved.  Have they located the shy little
girl yet?

Purrs, head butts and chirps on their way from the husband, myself and
all eight of our owners.

Two are still missing - Tuffy and Lil-Guy. Susan thinks they've
escaped and is scouring the area. Please keep the purrs and good
energy coming. Everyone else is safe and found and they managed to
trap a further 3 last weekend.

I thank God for people such as you who care so much and do something about
it.

Prayers for you all and the cats in your care.
