Buster is such a busy little cat. He's always updating his itinerary,
always on the move, trilling, trotting, and running.
In the morning, he has to come and bug me in bed. Last time, he came
to me trilling, and stuck a clammy whiskery snout in my ear. Then, he
went to the other side and backed up, sticking a fuzzy, empty, er,
sac, in my other ear. Then, he chewed on my hair for a while before
diving under the covers. I felt lots of soft fur against my toes,
before the furry snake reemerged at my face, staring at me with huge
dilated pupils.
When I'm at the computer, he always has to come to my lap. But he
usually doesn't settle down, but moves all over the place, getting up
on my desk, getting back down, jumping up on my lap again, standing in
my lap and headbutting my face, jumping back on to the desk and
batting at the monitor, etc.
He'll also "pour" himself upside-down off my lap, which causes me to
catch him with one arm and hold him like a baby, which makes him smile
a very smug smile.

He sounds like an amazing little love. I think of your little family as Dot
needing to be cared for and loved, and Buster helping you do it. Every
family needs a clown.

It's more like he's looking for relief from his boredom, rather than
looking for love! I try to tire him out a little with his toys, and
the laser pointer acts like a temporary kitty remote control that I
can use to make him go away. :)

That's the absolute best way of waking up, if you ask me. :)

He's still a kitten. I'm sure he'll settle down in a few... um, years. :)
He sounds extremely charming. I love the trilling nose in the ear trick.

My Muriel finally learned to sit quietly on my lap when I'm at the
computer and not flex her claws into my thighs or climb over the
keyboard a couple of months ago. It only took her 15 years.
Buster sounds like fun.

I'm really looking forward to him growing up. I think his personality
will become more evident when he's not a distractable busybody. :)

I said the same thing when my cats were kittens. Can't wait until they
grow up, and they're not so tirelessly rambunctious, so ADD-afflicted,
so *destructive*!!
And now when I see Baby Licky, Roxy or Smudge pictures, I'm all "awww,
they were so cute as kittens".
So enjoy him now, even though he drives you crazy!

Sounds like your training is coming along nicely.

Ha! Grant used to do that "pouring" thing. I loved that. How is Dot?

When he does this on my lap, I feel compelled to catch him, although I
know I don't need to - to him it's a normal way of getting down from
short to medium heights.
I don't see quite as much of Dot as I do of Buster, since she keeps to
the kitchen, while Buster will follow me anywhere. I often bring her
to bed with me though, and she's a sweet kitty. I'm hoping that
she'll eventually reclaim the rest of the house, because she's not the
wallflower type. Independently, she's actually the bolder and more
adventurous cat of the two.

Sounds like Dante when still a baby. He loves to shove me out of bed with
his wet nose. Also give me pointy leg massages. :P

Thanks for the laugh, Tak.
