Update 2 - my dad - 7/25/2007

I stopped by the hospital after work tonight, and my dad is doing MUCH
better. He is still weak, but he is awake, lucid, has his sense of
humor back and is resting well. They will probably keep him until the
middle of next week (August 1st or so, just to be sure he's okay).

All the purrs have apparently been helping.

Sp4eaking of which, his cat Lucy has been guarding his stuff at home.
Lucy sits either on his bed or on the nightstand by his bed and growls
and hisses at anyone who even looks at my dad's stuff. If they should
be so rude as to enter the room, Lucy lunges at them. If they still
come close, she swats hard and fast, with claws out (so I've been told
- I'm not that big an idiot - grin).

Thanks to all of you for sending purrs and prayers.

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

I'm so glad your father is doing better, Mark. I spoke with my father
yesterday and he sounded like he'd made a 180 degree turn-around. He
still has some neuropathy in his hands but he said its getting better
each day. The main thing is his voice sounded so much stronger.  We'll
continue to send purrs that your father continues to improve.

Purrs for both fathers to continue to improve.

I'm so glad to hear he's doing a lot better!  It's good that Lucy is looking
after his things for him, too.  ;-)

This is excellent news, Mark!  (And YAY! for Lucy guarding his precious
property!)

That's wonderful news Mark, I'm so happy for you and your family.  Healing
purrs will continue for your father as long as he needs them.

Thank you for the update Mark and I'm so glad that he's on the mend.
We'll keep him in our thoughts.

What a good girl she is.  Boy will she be a happy kitty when he comes home!
