Miss Honor Graves died this morning at TED's office after a short
bout of renal failure. She was the scrappy little owner of
Amanda's boyfriend, Jim, and lived parts of her short life here.
Usually when she'd done something to irritate Jim's mom and/or
sister.
Honor was one of four kittens dumped off at our TED's office the
day we had to take the Graves' cat Rascal in for her trip to the
bridge. Jim was grieving deeply when we walked out and Mandy
distracted him with the kittens while I carried Rascal's stuff to
the car for the trip home. In a short time, the carrier was
brought back into the office, my spare towel was placed in it and
a little girlcat came home with us.
Honor was about the same age as Huey. Although her largest weight
was about 6 lbs and his averages around 16, she usually won their
play and tussling bouts together. She was a true hoolikitten and
was often found on the tops of curtains, doors, book cases,
entertainment centers, and any other place she could pounce on
her hoomins. Once Jim introduced her to his mom, Honor worked
her charm on her and was soon re-organizing Nancy's jewelry box,
killing bed mice, pillows, and fingers at night, performing death
defying stunts and so forth. Other than a ongoing desire to
remove Honor's claws, which Honor and Jim always won, Nancy was
Honor's buddy.
Honor was a wild child and major sweetycat, and will be missed by
her hoomins and her co-owner, Pumpkin. May you have a gentle
journey to a great time at the bridge, Miss Honor, you are
loved, missed, and mourned.

I am so very sorry, Pam. I have lit a candle and started a group to
help guide Honor on her journey to the Bridge. Candles can be lit at

Thank you Julie. Honor was a lot alike her "Godmother," Honor
Harrington from the Dave Weber series.

I've lit a candle. I was going to start a group last night but as I was
doing it I lost my connection to the internet.

I loved Honor's little antics! I imagined that anyone who lived with
her would be warily scanning the ceilings, and that it will be a long
time before they grow out of the habit of looking upwards for her.
I'll miss her too.

Oh how sad! What a strong personality she had, and I'm sure she is
and will be much missed. It was far too soon, and it's hard to let
beloved animals go even after they've lived a full rich life and are
clearly asking for release.
I hope Honor's family will soon find solace in a new cat friend and
owner, when a suitable period of mourning has been observed.

Very belated condolences to Jim and all of you. I remember when she was
adopted. So sad that she was not here for a longer time.
