Hello!!!

I have a cat whose name is Tom. He has been recently diagnosed with
diabetes. It is really sad news for me and my family, cause we treat
him like a family member and love him so much.

I researched many websites so far to look for cure and etc, but so far
liked only one website, which is www.catdiabetes.net. Just wanted to
share it with everyone whose cats are sick with diabetes as well.
As well as just want to ask if anyone can advice anything else about
this horrible sickness that making my cat to suffer.:((

Thank you so much.

The good news: it can be treated as it can in humans, with controlled diet
and insulin. It is not expensive; a cat can even go into a kind of
"remission" unlike human patients.

My first sweetie, my Fritzie (RB) lived many years with feline diabetes and
when he left us he was only a few weeks away from his 19th birthday. With
love and discipline on your part, and the guidance of a good vet, your cat
can have great quality of life despite diabetes.

Blessed be,
Baha

Pearl is diabetic. You can see her blog here (which I need to add a new
entry!)
http://pearlthediabeticcat.blogspot.com/

I got the most help from www.felinediabets.com and the people at their
message board.

Diabetes is most easily managed with home testing. You can find all the
links you need at Pearl's blog. You can see that kitties don't have ot feel
sick with diabetes. It is a manageable disease. Frustrating at times, yes,
but I notice that a lot more than Pearl.
