The boys, Archer and Ozzy, are being allowed out of their Sherpa carrier and
let loose in Tayla's room for 15 minute play times. There hasn't been any
hostilities so far, but there has been a little hissing. Tayla chases them
and gives them a no-claw swat to bowl them over then holds them down to
sniff their butts. Being kittens they offer no resistance, so Tayla isn't
prodded into any serious attack. She seems quite calm and even playful in
their presence - although she is still a bit twitchy overall (she'll jump
halfway to the ceiling if she encounters anything new to her). The boys, in
turn, are ecstatic with the bigger room to run in and with more strange
thing to explore. I don't think it will be too long before they can
betogether full time.
All in all it's going well.
Hugs,
CatNipped

TuTu celebrated the holiday by catching a young (very) quail. I heard the
little thing screaming for mercy and looked out on the back patio to see
her crouched with the ball of feathers in her mouth. I screamed "NO~!"
repeatedly and got the squirt bottle. I went out there squirting at the
cat and yelling "NO". TuTu minds me fairly well, so she backed off and I
got her away from the little quail. It suddenly came to life and ran
under the fence as fast as its little legs could carry it. I sincerely
hope it wasn't injured. TuTu will not go out again for a week or so --
until the baby quail can fly. I can't stand to see them caught . I hope
the little fellow lives to warm it's siblings about going on our patio.
Your kittens sound like a lot of fun. Purrs that they will all be happy
together soon. MLB

It sounds like she's going to be teaching the kittens some manners.
I'm looking forward to hearing that she's grooming them as well as
bowling with them. :)
