My Brother, the re-converted Cat Slave

My brother had two cats for a very long time (siblings, a tiger & white
named Tommy, and a Tuxie named Jerry), when they got to be around 18 years
old, their health failed them, one at a time.  For the past couple of years,
he's sworn that he will NEVER(!!!!) get anymore pets - once these are gone
(they still have a crap-weasel/crumb-vacuum/d*g that they rescued from an a
neglectful owner, a Ball Python (whom my brother won't go near, his wife
deals with that), and I think they have a rescued Cockatiel, but I'm
thinking that it passed away a few years ago as well) they were gonna live
life pet free.

Well, his 18-year-old daughter and 16-year-old son over-ruled him by getting
him a kitten for father's day.  He sent me some pictures of it, cuddling up
with his daughter's cat (poor cat is wondering where this kitten came from
and how to get rid of it).

Sounds like your niece and nephew knew just what their dad really needed!

I hope you'll get some pictures soon.

Now, what is a crap-weasel/crumb-vacuum/d*g? :) OK, I get crumb-vacuum.
Sounds like the dog makes him/herself useful. Crap-weasel?

It's one of my brother's terms of endearment for the dog... I think.  I also
seem to remember he told me that the dog, if it doesn't get it's way, will
retaliate by either wee-ing or poo-ing on the floor.

More info from my brother:

The big white one is Trixie (I like to call her "Entegris - bringer of
Death" when at the vet because of the threats and fuss she makes).  She is
very docile and loves to cuddle, but legally belongs to Jennifer.  The small
grey one is Geddy (You have to guess where I got that name!?!?).  He is
shy - I think he was wild when 1st captured and adopted.  He gets along well
with Trixie but doesn't like to be held.  Geddy will cuddle but generally
just runs about and gets under foot.  He's supposed to be mine, but I don't
know what possessed my kids to get THAT as a father's day gift.  Probably
just to keep Trixie company.  Oh well, nuther lap warmer for football
season.

Albuquerque.

She's actually going to school for marine biology - and has been trying for
a year to get on there.  Took scuba lessons when she was in high school -
even though they live in New Mexico - land of deserts and mountains (not
lakes and ocean).

LOL, Sam! I call my brothers my bothers, cause they both like to pick
on me.  I love them dearly, and wouldn't trade them for the world!

Not sure what you mean by "upset with" my brother.  He's my Bro - the only
one I got!  Oops - I just got it - nope that was a typo, now fixed. Back
when AOL was the rage, his first screen name was "BratskiBro" - because I
was the "Bratski" (his version of Russian when calling me a brat), he he is
my Bro....

Both kitties are very cute.
What an interesting job your niece has.
Best wishes,
Polonca and Soncek

Ha - that is not how the daughter's cat looks to me! If I didn't know
she wasn't the mom-cat, I would just assume she was. And the kitten is
absolutely *adorable*. Stripes in miniature! What sweet pictures.
