I feel so sorry for this poor cat. He has about given up and spends most of
his time in his favorite hidey hole under our be. He seems to know he has
to have his medicine and comes out and makes himself available. ECollar is
still in place. Even a few days ago when the tie had come loose and he
could have easily got it off.
He does sleep on the bed at night and thoroughly enjoyed the brushing I gave
his a few days ago.
He does come out and try to escape out the door a few times a day.
But he got up on the bed this morning, on his own and did a very good cello
position. His incision looks wonderful. Neat clean row of stitches. No
redness at all. Wednesday is two weeks, but its a holiday. I think I'll
take him in Tuesday to get the stitches out rather than wait. Poor baby
doesn't know we plan to keep him inside for another week after that. But my
heart just breaks to watch him cope with the collar.

It's tough. Poor boy. But it sounds like the wound is healing nicely.
Wish I'd be here to hear how he does without the collar, and how he
continues to heal. We will still be purring for Jake out on the island.
