Had to go to a big meeting yesterday to take minutes. Meeting lasted so long
that I came home afterwards and plonked down a carrier bag with my notebook
in it
Woke up this morning and found that Sarrasine had been in the carrier bag and
clawed the first 3 pages off the notebook and into strips!
So it's a case of "Please, sir, the cat ripped up my homework"

I once had to tell my professor at uni that my cat had been sick on my
homework. I don't know if he believed me. ;)

Mine evidently did. Every time I offered to bring in evidence, I was
told it was not necessary, and given a fresh paper/a chance to print a
fresh paper.

That was my first thought! Hey, I've got the paper in a bag right here if
you'd like to see the evidence ;)
