Hi guys!

Our "kitten," Zorro, rescued from a dumpster at a few scrawny weeks old,
s now six months old and weighs in at a hefty 9-1/2 lbs!   He is going
to be one HUGE cat!

He plays about 23 hours a day  --  starting at 4:00 Ayem.   The
middle-aged cats are exhausted  --  WE'RE exhausted!

This will (hopefully) change somewhat next week when he goes in for what
Sandra likes to call his "Clip 'n curl!"

Keep the l'il guy in mind, will you?   THIS mom is going to have quiet
hysterics, but it's gotta be done, right?   RIGHT?

LOL!

Zorro sounds like a charmer! We'll be purring for an uneventful "clip n'
curl"... :)

Yep, I'll keep him in mind, and yes, it has to be done.  He'll be fine.
<soothing strokes for meowmie>  I hated it when I took my intact male
Boyfriend to be neutered, I was sure he'd die.  He didn't, he's absolutely
the bees knees now and he doesn't need to wander away looking for girls and
might get run over doing it.  My mother's next door neighbour wished she'd
had her male neutered when he went missing and was found dead a mile away.
Hit by a lorry or car when he was looking for girlies.  He was a mess too.
Her father found him and refused to let her see him.

We certainly will! And yes, she does. Kitty will have a much happier,
MUCH healthier, longer life, and everybody in the household will have a
much more peaceful life.

There, there, (((Renee))), it's going to be alright. Purrs for Zorro's
'clip 'n curl'

(shaking head) yet 'nother "huge" cat in the making, and this one
sounds too much like Lori's "big" Sammy kitten. Oh well, maybe we'll
be treated to another series of funny stories

LOL! But don't bet on it. Nobody seems to have told Licorice that, as
a neutered male, he no longer needs to play as much. :)

He will come through it fine. It's a very routine (almost "outpatient")
surgery. (Yeah, easy for me to say - if it were my cat, I'd be hysterical
too. But seriously, he will be fine!)

Purrs,

Eddy was rescued on a bike ride. Long story short: he was dumped, my
friend and I found him, and my wife fell in love with him. I ought to
post the full story.

He ranges from sweet to a blur, and has a mellow "Whatever" attitude.
Not a defiant teen-ager ("What-EVER!"), but rather, "Whatever y'all
what to do--I just want to be part of it.").

This week he got fixed. He's five-and-a-half months, and the vet said
it was OK at this point. We dropped him off Wednesday morning, and the
vet said he was a neat cat. My wife and I hugged each other in the
lobby before departing for work.

I picked him up, and though awake, I could tell he was still kinda
loopy. The vets said he wasn't too happy with them--they swaddled him
in a blanket as they carried him out. For about three hours, he
carried around one mouse-toy. He just wandered the lower floor with
this mouse in his mouth, occasionally dropping it to bat about for a
few seconds. It was a soggy, disgusting, destroyed mess by the time he
dropped it to curl up for a nap.

My wife said he was extremely clingy yesterday (and he typically likes
to be with you if not ON you already). Last night he hung with us.
This morning, he looked very sad as we left.

On the other hand, Maggie, the older resident cat he likes to torment,
was given a bit of a rest while he recovered. I think she was
smirking.

He survived, as I'm sure Zorro will as well.

Purrs for Zorro to become a huge, jolly, playful, loving kitty for many
years with you all. And that all goes well with his, ahem, cojonectomy.

We got Stosh as a six month old kitten, and he hit puberty rapidly. The vet
made a special change in her schedule after I called and told her that he
had fallen in love with my leg and physically proposed to it several times
in a two or three day span. Stosh was then a hoolikiten who singlehandedly
destroyed our curtains, broke several sets of Venetian blinds, ripped one of
my long skirts to ribbons, and ran all over our faces as we slept. I was
told that, at the clinic, he broke loose of the techs and had to be chased
down; and after he knocked over several lab items and a shelfload of
medicines, had to be held down by two techs while being anaesthetized. He is
now a year and a half old, and he is now a fifteen pound hoolicat who
destroys our curtains, blah blah blah. The only difference is that he and my
leg have broken the engagement; and now that he has our Brandy to wrestle
with, he no longer beats the hell out of my clothing.

Keep the coffeepot going. It'll stave off the exhaustion! :-) Zorro sounds
like a fun guy. The operation will tone him down a hair, but he'll keep
being his rowdy little self. Be happy; the rowdy ones are the healthy ones!

Blessed be,
Baha

Purrs that Zorro's "Clip 'n curl!" is uneventful. I bet it won't slow
him down for more than a few hours.
