A furry welcome

Yesterday I did a couple of hours on my bike. Not far, only about 24 miles.
When I got back home, a furry one-eyed feline ran to meet me as I pulled up
at home.

Today I did a thoroughly enjoyable 60 miles in thunder, wind & rain. It took
a bit longer than a couple of hours :) As I pulled up at home, once again, a
furry, one-eyed feline came running out of the house to meet me, meowing a
greeting, followed by a swift headbutting of my legs accompanied by loud
purring and a wrapping of tail about my shin.

So I've had a several of hours out on my bike in throughly *invigorating*
weather with a wonderful welcome as soon as I arrived home.

Now she's curled up on the seat next to me, purring contentedly. Love that
cat.

Nathan has now finished his A-levels - his were early ones. He had a scribe
for all papers. Nathan dictated: scribe wrote.
The wonderful summer today resulted in this...

less than five miles from me. The associated thunderstorms have resulted in
the stream at the end of the garden changing to a raging torrent of a river
*in* the garden. So far, the house is dry, but objects that can't be
replaced are being moved upstairs.

It's been raining all day here in Yorkshire, I'm glad I live on a hill.

Glad to hear he could take them that way.

The deities smiled upon us. The house remained dry. This morning the level
of the stream has dropped back to normal.
