I just met the girl's Mom (Pat) & DH at their workplace. Her daughter,
Sarah, came to meet us all there, and DH & I handed over Pong/Sajja.
He cried all the way over there, but once we stopped moving and I moved his
carrier to the front so he could see me, and opened the windows to get a
breeze, he quieted up and just watched everything through the windows.
Pat & Sarah were amazed that someone could "lose" such a beautiful cat, and
*not* run an ad in the paper. I've been checking every day since he showed
up, and not one ad for a "lost Siamese" (tons of other cats seem to be
missing though - tabby, grey, tuxies, calicos.... but no meezers). No hits
from the information at the shelter, either.
This family are damn near millionaires - the Mom (Pat) only works to keep
busy!
He will have their whole (finished) basement to himself - so no
YappieYorkies to pester him. I told them that he could probably be
integrated with the rest of their pets in a week or so.
I'm off to go smother the other 12 kitties to help myself heal Pong/Sajja's
departure.
PS..Missy/Cordelia is moving from Chicago to Indianapolis - but currently
saying at that daughter's grandparents (who adore her) until the daughter's
move is complete. she has turned from an anti-social unowat to a pampered
Queen :) - that gives me hopes for Pong/Sajja

Awww, i know what it's like to give up a kitty. It's sooooo hard.
Hugs and purrs to you, at least Pong will have the time of his life

Not so hard as he was a bit timid and hesitant. But I do worry that I'm
doing right by him.

I certainly hope so. Thanks for the hugs (purrs not needed by me, passing
them on to Pong).

Purrs for your heart, and of course for Pong/Sajja to make a quick
adjustment.

Thanks. I'm sure Pong/Sajja will be fine. These people do right by their
critters. But there's still that little nagging "what if" bouncing around
in the back of my head.

Purrs for your broken heart. You did good for Pong. Hope Ping is happy
now that he is the only meezer in residence again.

Thanks. My heart will heal. Got up this morning and it looked like the cats
threw a 'Good Riddance' party! And Ping was probably the ringleader, with
Moe following right behind!

I hope the integration goes well and that he will be very happy there.
FWIW, I turned down an almost-millionaire to give a home to one of my
puppies. On further questioning they seemed to be very house-proud, I could
see the pup coming back in a few weeks for damage, so I declined them and
let him go to a less well off family who were more laid back about these
things - and where he stayed very happily for the rest of his life.

((hug)) It's so sad to let him go, isn't it? but like you said, you have
enough kitties yourself. It's not the feeding of them to consider - I could
have another few ex-ferals easily if that were all, it's the vets bills I
might get. Vets bills are astromical here if it's not something simple. If
blood tests/x-rays are needed, or a road accident/fracture repair you can
say goodbye to 500-1000.
I'll just keep my two, I have a little bit of money put away so I can afford
whatever might happen to them. Add one or two more and I couldn't.

LOL. I still can't get over how much more mess Kayla causes than her
predecessors ever did. I clean house all the time now. And have very
little to show for it.
Its not just the house either. I'm a mess half the time. There is always
fur on my clothes, and usually a footprint or more as well. She could find
or create mud in the Sahara.
I keep reminding myself she really isn't a very large dog and doesn't have
long fur. She only weighs 30 pounds and has a "smooth" coat. And she
doesn't slobber or drool like some dogs.
And she has quit chewing on the walls and furniture.
