Poor DP.
Kumani does not LIKE the mini van. It scares her, and when she is
scared, she pees. She peed at the vet's when she got her rabies shot
(all cats in Ontario must have rabies shots by law, so we took them
last weekend) and so at least DP was armed with baby wipes and an
incontinence pad in her cage.
However, being smelly made her cry even MORE so DP stopped to clean
and change her...
Six bloody scratches later, Kumani was back in her carrier and DP was
off to the pharmacy for bandages, his left hand halfway to hamburger.
(They match very well with the bandage and two gashes on his nose from
where Smokey hauled off and bit him last week).
Tyche, meanwhile, HATES Quebec and all the strange cats in the hotel
room (translation: not a fan of the mirrors.)
I'm feeling rather lucky to be taking Nox and Smokey. Nocturne,
meanwhile, decided last night that I didn't deserve a head nox...she
was going to sleep on the floor, and I could rot in eternal brightness
and light for all she cared. However, by this morning her dark
presence was crying miserably and bunting incessantly...she's lonely.
(Smokey cares only that the gravy train continues to deliver tinned
food each morning.)

Oh yes, Rusty used to pee or even poop in his carrier enroute to the
vet. Upon arrival, he would be put in a cage while they cleaned the
carrier for me One time they wanted a urine sample and just took some
from the carrier. Gud thing he seem to have outgrown it.

Ouch! Not such a baby after all.
Purrs for the rest of the trip to go better. And we'll start purring for
your trip already. I have a feeling you will need all the purrs you can
get...
