This morning the filter from the kitty fountain was on the floor in
the kitchen... I rinsed it off and put it back in its place, and five
minutes later Tessie had the top off and the filter half-pulled-out
again. That's the final straw. If they're going to ignore it, I could
live with it and hope for them to eventually decide it was
innocuous... but she's being actively destructive to it. :( I emptied
it out and put it in the cupboard until I can find someone to take it
off our hands (hopefully in exchange for some cash...)

I"m sorry, Karen; I know it's not funny to *you*.....but that's just
hysterical
to me. That Tessie. She's a mess.

She's too smart for her own good... and she's just so GLEEFUL about
it! You really can't be mad at her because she's just playing, and
when you catch her in the act she looks up at you like 'aren't I
CLEVER, look what I can do Meowmie!'
She worries me though, because she doesn't seem to have any ability to
tell a 'safe' plaything from a dangerous one... I put some eggs on to
boil the other day and the bottom of the pan was wet because I'd just
rinsed it out... I turned my back for five minutes and she was up on
the counter next to the stove about to paw at the pot to see why it
was making such strange hissing noises!

Ummm, does Tessie have access to your newsgroups? It sounds as if she
read my email about Barnabus pulling the filter out of the fountain
and tossing it around. I would be very concerned right about now.

I think she must have been reading over my shoulder! Either that or
she's a mindreader... it never would have occurred to me that she'd do
a thing like that, and look how long it took her to figure it out!
