Jake needs some purrs tonight. Though it seems the goddess is keeping an
eye on him already. He has seems quite himself recently. No reason to
suspect anything is wrong with him. He came in with a few stickers a couple
of days ago, but that isn't unusual. I made sure they were all off as soon
as I saw them. So I know I gave him a good going over and that was just two
days ago.
Tonight my daughter stopped by to pick up her Chihuahua pup Camille (we seem
to be running a doggy day care as well as child care service). Jake met her
as usual but was lying in the driveway and wouldn't move so she could pull
her car in. So she picked him up and carried him in, on his back like a
baby. Also very normal. Except that when she walked in the door I saw a
really nasty looking wound on his belly. Infected and smelly. But he
doesn't seem to be in any pain or to be running a fever. He jumped up on
the counter to eat a drink.
So I think it can wait till morning and his regular vet rather than
emergency where I really don't know them.
Meantime, Kayla is in her crate early so she will leave him be. Everything
is closed up so he won't get back out. And we could use some purrs for a
quiet and healing night.

Lots of purrs from my crew for Jake and since we missed the night-time
purrs they're sending purrs that Jake is easily mended and heals
quickly.

You've probably already posted an update, but I'm slogging through the
posts I've missed for some days, so forgive me if you have!
Purrs for your Jake.

Thank you. He appreciates them.
And he doesn't appreciate much of anything today. He hasn't been allowed
out at all. He got his first dose of medicine for the day early, and I
think he's figured out there are two a day and is hiding from me.
