The European Parliament has backed a ban on cat and dog fur imports, in a
move to curb the slaughter of millions of cats and dogs in China.

It's about time. They've been discussing it long enough! I didn't read
the article. Too faint-hearted.

Thank goodness.  This has bothered me for a while.  They tested some
imported coats at a local store here, and found that some that claimed
to have imitation fur linings actually had real fur - from dogs and
cats!
