Dot usually likes to be in the middle of any hoomin activity around
the house. When I come out of the shower, she always comes to me with
a distressed "ack ack ack squeeeek". Today, she also got to supervise
the assembly of a treadmill, which she liked, and got to have TED
stick things up her butt, which she didn't like!
So today, I got a treadmill, which weighs 217 lbs, or about 99 kg. I
was trying to discourage Dot from doing anything dangerous, but she
thought it was such a great adventure! She hid in the boxes, pounced
on tools, and supervised the entire operation. It's too bad she'll
probably never see me use it, since I suspect that any kitty that
happens to get under it while it's operating would get scalped! I was
planning on putting it in the room where Buster currently lives, so
it's in limbo right now.
After the treadmill was completed and Dot was sleeping contentedly
next to it, Dot was catnapped and whisked off to TED!
The past couple of days, I've been suspicious of Dot's bowels because
I only seemed to get poops in Buster's litter, or in the main litter
box after Buster's been out. TED says that Dot seems quite normal,
weighs 10-11 lbs (although that doesn't sound correct considering her
heft), and has a normal feeling belly and bladder, and no apparent
blockage from feeling up her rectum. She says that she's probably
just a grazer and maybe not yet settled in.
Oh well, Dot doesn't seem too traumatized. :)

I have a treadmill also, which I keep in the computer room. (It's the
smallest room in the apartment and has the most functions: office,
exercise room, and guest room.) Anyway, when I use the treadmill, I
always close the door so no kitties will come in while I'm on it.
Occasionally, Roxy will be high up on the very tall bookcase, and I
won't bother to get her down before using the treadmill. She'll usually
sleep through it. Once, Licky got locked in while I was working out. I
didn't know he was there. Suddenly I heard a loud wailing sound. Since
I was watching the TV while exercising, I thought at first that the
sound came from that. But it seemed a bit inappropriate for what I was
watching. (I don't remember what it was, but it wasn't something that
would have cat wailing in the middle of it.) Finally, I turned around,
and there was Licky on my desk, staring at me with a horrified expression,
just howling to be let out of the room. Poor guy!

Glad she's OK! How's Buster doing?

Oh noes - exercising hoomin! :)

He's a very good little boy, but obviously not very happy being in
kitty jail. He's a bit more timid now when he has free run of the
house, as compared to Dot, who now claims that she's in charge of the
household.

Hmm... seems like whichever cat get the run of the house starts to feel
like the alpha cat. Maybe you'll need to alternate who gets to roam free
and who gets kitty jail?

This is all beind done mostly for Dot's confidence, but Buster does
get his free run as well. He loves to converse with bugs, play with
the cat charmer, and sleep on my lap.

Glad it wasn't something serious. She sounds like a very happy and
confident cat to me.

On my way out with Dot, I noticed a mound in the litter box that
wasn't there a little while before. When I came back with Dot and
cleaned out the litter box, I found that she had left me a nice kitty
log! The one she played this bastard cat trick is herself though,
since she's the one who got the gloved finger up the butt. ;)

Hehehe, i'm reminded of when I first got Imp, and the first week I
couldn't figure out why his box was empty and more importantly WHERE
he was putting it.
My roommate was out of town and when she came back we found out where
He had been using her BED as a his toilet and covered it COMPLETELY
with her comforter.
Oops.........
