Persia Talks with her Mouth Full

After feeding Persia I sometimes stand there a moment to watch her.  She
turns her head and looks at me, kibble in her mouth, and meows at me.  It's
like she's saying, "Thank you for feeding me, you know I was starving!"  But
she winds up dropping pieces of unchewed kibble on the floor.  It makes me
laugh.  Hey, kid, don't with your mouth full! :)

Chloe has figured out that you can purr with your head down in the
trough and if anything drops out nobody's going to notice.  I've
never encountered another cat who could purr, LOUDLY, and eat at
the same time.  She's like a little fluffy combine harvester.

Smudge has done this - outside my front door with live food in her mouth.
She meows and drops it, and it runs away. :)

LOL. I love the sound of a cat purring and chewing kibble at the same
time. The purrs seem to echo off the kibble, or something. It gets
amplified somehow. Very cute sounding.

Yes, Nikki used to do that. The purr would get louder when she opened
her mouth, then fainter when she closed her mouth, then louder again as
she opened her mouth for the next bite.

Well the purr is a function of the "false" vocal chords, so
it makes sense it would be louder with the mouth open!

Yes, it makes sense, but the effect is very funny.
