One lap. Two cats.

For a long time, Little Feet used to cuddle in my lap while I was on
the computer. Then he stopped. Little Boy eventually took up the
slack, and started cuddling in my lap, with the occasional "I must
smell your breath in case you got up and ate anything interesting
while I was lying here."

This morning, Little Feet decided he wanted to sit in my lap again. He
settled in, and began to nap. Very nice. In a few minutes, Little Boy
decides it's his lap, and tries to worm his way in.

Little Boy looks back and forth, but can't figure a way onto my lap.
He gets down and is lying on the suitcase under my desk (which I use
as a foot prop). Every now and then I feel a paw on my knee, and
whiskers on my leg as he tries to work out his approach.

Finally, Little Boy kind of oozes up my left leg, and manages to only
partially smoosh Little Feet. Little Feet is still napping, and
ignores the invasion.

Little Boy settles in, then sticks his head down in Little Feet's face
to request a forehead cleaning. Little Feet obliges, then sticks his
head out, at which point Little Boy returns the favor.

All is nice, quiet (and heavy - oof, my poor knees and hips!), when
Senyah returns from church. I get up to let her in (I lock the door so
she doesn't accidentally let the cats out - she's handicapped and not
agile), which is not popular with the boys.

Oh well. But Little Feet wastes no time settling in again as soon as I
sit back down.

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Ah yeah, Kazoo (RB much too soon) and Kumo did that regularly, after
they discovered I would let both of them on my lap, even if Kazoo was
much too nervous a lap cat to stay put. Left-to-right, no right-to left,
no wait... Lather, rinse, repeat.

It's sweet, but then you have to stop doing anything, as both cats want
to be petted. ;-)

Have fun
Aleks
