Lindy update

The vet called me this morning.  She said Lindy's thyroid is a little off,
but it can be treated.  Everything else is fine.  Whew!

She wants to do a 30-day trial of the medication, and said I should watch
her for side effects.  I asked, and she said I can wait until I get back
from Alaska to start the medication, so I can keep an eye on her.  I picked
it up, so I'll have it ready to start as soon as I get home.

Glad to hear it is not something more serious.

I remember one time the vet suspected Rusty had a thyroid
problem. But later test showed his thyroid was normal. Rusty is 13
years old and I learned that thyroid problems are pretty common among
older cats, and humans too.

Rusty will purr for Lindy.

Hooray!! That's really a relief.

Good thinking. How long will you be gone?

Great quote! How true that is.

That's really good news, Joy. Hope the meds do the trick with no side
effects.
And that you enjoy your trip!

Thank you, Polonca.  I'm home from Alaska now, and have started the
medication.  So far she doesn't show any ill effects from it.

I have *no* idea where I got the notion that you were going to be
in Alaska for 9 months. A serious misreading of something, somewhere.
