Tomorrow I'm taking him to the vet for a monthly check-up following the kidney
fialure diagnosis. Francis will be sporting a fine new collar symbolising his
(and my own) notice that he has no intention of leaving this earth yet,
especially as he's been rolling in 'nip this morning, purring and chattering at
the birds on the nut feeders outside the office window (chattering as in full
Hannibal Lecter mode...)
Cheers, helen s

Thanks - I'm under no illusions. Francis can't be cured, but his condition can
be *managed* and so far, it's been managed well for a month :-) It's my
intention to continue to manage it well, so Francis has a good quality of life
for however long he has left, long or short (preferrably long).

From what I hear, if you mess with Francis, there's someone else who
will eat your liver. ;)

Francis is certainly acting well, and as long as he has a good quality of life,
he shall still be with us. Mind you, when he peed on my new box of 1000
envelopes (now reduced to box of 200& something useable envelopes...) I did
threaten him with being turned into a pair of mittens. Luckily he knows I jest
;-)
