I agree, they are very beautiful. Eyelashes to die for too ;-) It is a
wonder to me that an animal built like that survives, it's so difficult for
them to drink, and in the wild they are very vulnerable to predators whilst
doing so.

At this park you can buy a very small bag of food to feed the more
friendlies like giraffe and the numerous types of antelopes/deer. I suppose
the bag is so small so that the animals will not get overfed no matter how
many visitors feed them.
I decided I didn't need to help the safari park out with their food bill,
after it cost us almost $20 each to get in. How clever of them, not only
get an admission fee, but charge the public for feeding their animals!
Having said that, it must cost a lot to run, and I could see that they did
their best to provide as natural conditions as they could. Like the tigers
having a pool and extensive fields for the ungulates, not quite like Africa,
but not bad.
There is nothing to be done to make it similar for the African hunting dogs
that they have. All in beautiful condition. It's obviously not possible to
let them roam through the park, hunting the other "exhibits."
I love the different patterns of coat they have. There were only a few
places in the park where we were instructed to keep our car windows and
sunroof shut. Big cats, obviously, and wolves. Also the African hunting
dogs. They didn't look as if they would spring on to our car, rip the
windows out and go for our throats. However, to be fair, I do know that
they are awful predators in a group and can pretty well run down and kill
anything.
