Please send purrs that I can get our vet out to our house today so Bandit
doesn't have to suffer any more. I know I waited too long and, even though
I don't think she's in pain (she's still eating and drinking a little and
using her litterbox), she isvery, very weak. She walks around in circles,
dazed, and falls down a lot. She tries to find dark places to hide like
under my bed.
I *was* grateful for the last two days, I spent a lot of time with her over
the weekend feeding her tuna nad chicken and roast beef, and petting her and
telling her what an amazing and wonderful friend she has been to me for the
past 17 years.
I'm going to call my vet as soon as they open at 9:00 (about 1 hour, 15
minutes from now). Dr. French said he does house visits from 1 to 3 every
day, but I'm praying that he's not too busy today and can come out on such
short notice.
I'll let you guys know what happens. Purrs to help me get through this
would be greatly appreciated.

Mega Purrs on the way, for Bandit, for you, for Ben. We know this isn't
easy. We all dread the day, Lori. But you're doing what is best for Bandit
and you know it in your heart.

You have said more or less exactly what I was going to post, Jill. There
comes a time when we *know* not to hold on any longer with that awful
decision and oh my goodness its so hard.
You know, I have wished many a time when the time was near that one morning
I would wake up and find my beloved gone, in their sleep, peacefully.
Selfishly, so I would not have to make the decision because I could hardly
bear it. It has never happened like that. I always had to make that phone
call for the Rainbow Bridge appointment.
Lori has my private email and has been invited to talk if she wants to.

Many purrs on the way. I remember all too clearly what it was like with
Frank, and I was so grateful to the vet who agreed to come to our home.
She couldn't come the same day, though. I think I had to wait a couple
of days, and though I don't think Frank was in pain either, the wait was
really hard. Purrs that the vet can come today, and purrs for Bandit to
go peacefully, and purrs for your and Ben's broken hearts.

Purrs-- big ones, Lori-- for everyone concerned. Especially you. You
won't let Bandit suffer, but we know how hard it will be for you and
Ben.

Purrs for all of you. It sounds like she had a lovely last weekend and
will go to the Bridge with good thoughts of her Meowmie and Daddy.
