Not floating away

I get home from classes this afternoon, and lay down on the bed for a
moment (okay, a long 'moment').

Within a few minutes, I have Little Feet with his paws and head on my
left shoulder, Little Boy with half his body on my right shoulder and
upper arm, Bucky with a paw on my left ankle and his face against my
left foot, and Dulce Mae stretched across my righ knee.

I am well and truly held down and kept from floating away, not to
mention completely surrounded. Why, were it not for these helpful
cats, Senyah might have to scrape me off the ceiling!

Of course, this is also the excuse... er reason, that I give for
delaying the weekend's laundry, and I claim that the purrs soothed me
into a nap. Honest! It's not my fault!

Hugs and Purrs,
Mark

Proof of Sanity Forged Upon Request

We all know what it's like to have to sacrifice an afternoon's chores because
of the needs of our dear felines.

Why, just an hour or two ago I started to work on membership updates for my
neighborhood association (I'm the membership coordinator; there are about
40-50 membership renewals and new entries to process).

I had just gotten started, had maybe completed four or so, when Ketzl came
over and jumped up on the desk to "help" me. This meant lying down --
sprawling is a better word -- across the desk, somehow managing to cover
every single bit of paperwork I needed to get the job done.

Naturally, after giving him a good fifteen-minute scratch-skrtich-rubdown, I
realized he was there for the duration, and so I was forced to abandon that
task and get to work on today's crossword puzzle.

(I'm just noticing now that at some point he jumped down... drat! That means
I have no excuse now not to get back to work on it.)

Anyway, the image of your four-point pin is hilarious and you should consider
yourself quadrupally blessed.

Cats are the ambassadors of the Type B lifestyle. :)

That's if you didn't pay the gravity bill. ;)

Oh I HATE it when I forget to do that. I'm so flighty. =o)
Fortunately, cats make good anchors. Francesca has to make sure I
don't float up first thing in the morning when she wants to be fed.

I *so* don't have this problem! :) I buy gravity by the caseload, so
I get big discounts.

I hope you get your gravity delivered. Otherwise it must be REALLY
hard to load in the car! =o)  (To be honest, the gravitational pull of
the earth has a bit of pull with me, too. All gravitational laws are
strictly adhered to in my household. =o)

Caliban is very good at holding me down, too. Just this morning he made
sure I didn't float away from my bed. He uses his whole body to hold me
down. Miranda just puts her head on my leg, and her powerful brain waves
take care of the rest. ;)

Yes, even one gingerly placed paw can have the same effect, can't it?
