Well, some might argue that LOLCats are themselves a kind of poetry.
;)

There are LOLVariations spreading all over-- the now ubuquitous
LOLrus, of course (I love him); and the LOLPrez has appeared.  Of
special interest to me are LOLLibrarians, of course. ;)  Someone with
a Chaucer blog (no kidding) has made some LOLPilgrims (let me see if I
can find that link), and I myself made a couple of LOLMets. ;)

What next, "To be or not to be" in LOLCatz? Actually I would love to
read that :-)

There's also LOLCode, for us programmers:
http://lolcode.com/

This is what the "Hello world" program looks like in LOLCode:
HAI
CAN HAS STDIO?
VISIBLE "HAI WORLD!"
KTHXBYE

Between I HAS A VAR and IM IN YR LOOP, we need a line that says:
VAR R = 0.

(Once a programmer, always a programmer. LOL)
