The call came that Katie's breathing was getting worse, and we went to
the e-clinic to be there when the time came. I held her for a few
minutes, and she got very agitated, so I put her back in her cage. She
walked to the back, and laid on her side. DH came and cuddled her for
a while, and she laid quiet for that short time. I came back and was
petting her, and her breathing got worse. I called for the vet, and
told her that she was ready to go. My Katie girl was helped to the
Bridge about 10 a.m. this morning, I held her head as the vet gave
the shot, and she went quickly. We held her for a while, and kissed
her goodbye.
I miss my Katie. :(

I'm so very sorry to read this.
I was SO hoping she would respond to treatment, and bounce back quickly.
Purrs for her journey to the Bridge, and your broken heart.

I've lit one on that site too for Katie, I couldn't work out how to form a
group or to send a link to it, but there is a candle there from me and my
kitties, burning brightly to light Katie's way to the RB.

I know you miss your little sweetheart; after many years I sometimes
still miss my Fritzie. But Katie's running about in a plae where there
is great air and no trouble inhaling it; and someday she'll come to
you to say with joy the last words she heard in sadness--I love you--
and will welcome you to the heavens.
Blessed be,

I wish I could think of what to say at times like these, you know, something

All I can say is I'm sorry to hear this sad news as I hoped she'd make it and
