Purrs for two itty-bitties

Well, this morning when I walked out the door I heard Jona talking to
somebody.  It wasn't the usual male throaty call from the Somebody; it
was high-pitched squeaks!  Jona was looking under our neighbor's car
and seriously talking.  It looked like she was trying to convince
Somebody to come out.  And it sounded like an Itty-Bitty.

I looked under the car and there was a tabby, about 4 weeks old I'd
say,  trying to decide which way to run when it saw me.  It scooted
out the other side, squeaking madly all the time.  I couldn't catch
it.  Next thing I knew, there were more squeaks from the other side of
my house in the weeds, as well as the squeaks from the opposite side
of the car.  There were two of them!  The other was snuggled up
against my other neighbor's air-conditioning unit and trying to look
invisible (but not to be inaudible) and I thought I had him/her
cornered, but that one scooted away too.  By this time my daughter had
leapt out of bed, gotten dressed, and was down saying, "I heard a
kitten, where is it?"  We both tried for a while, but the IBKs stopped
making noise and I think they ran down the back of the houses so have
escaped from us.

I left catfood out in two inconspicuous places (probably will be eaten
by Spook, but at least I tried) and am praying like mad that some
kitty guardian angels will bring them back or at least find them a
good home pronto.  (A family down the street just lost their elderly
cat to the RB-- wonder if these were "sent" to replace him?  Or
Chibi??  ouch...)

So, purrs please for two tabby IBKs!  I'll keep you posted if there
are any more sightings.

Purrs for the wee ones. Unless their mother takes care of them, they
haven't a chance without human help. I hope you can catch them soon.

IBK currentlyon wall looking in window that cats use to come in,
talking to Emma who is on the inside.  Jona seems to have spent all
day with IBK and is exhausted and sleeping like a new mom.

IBK too scared of us to be caught, but seems to be older than my first
thought-- can jump on walls, run fast, eat cat food.

I put a cat carrier with towel, food and water out so IBK can go in it
and sleep (it's too small for Romeo, Spook and Cherry).

Oooooo, I just talked to him/her through the window and though s/he is
still scared, it came towards my hand before running!

Lots more purrs please!

Purrs that they will stay safe, and soon decide you're NOT an ogre.
And may that same kitty-angel look after lost Chibi.

Purrs that if you can't entice the bitties in, one of your cats can.
